Stephen Shorten

Stephen Shorten holds a diploma in Corporate Direction from UCC conferred in 2005.

Stephen has been running a mixed tillage and dairy farm in West Cork since 1988, and is a Board member of Bandon Agricultural Co-operative, West Cork.
Stephen is involved in the production of biodiesel from rape seed through a company called GRO Oils, of which he is a director since 2004. This company is involved in the contract growing of rape seed crops and the transformation of rapeseed into bio-diesel for sale to vehicle fleet operators.

Stephen has been operating a sludge disposal business providing environmental control services since 1994.

Stephen speaks French. Stephen is responsible for direction of biomass fuel sourcing.
